Who is your favorite villain in all of fiction?

I really have to break this down to the medium. Even then its hard given the different types of villains.

Literature: The Judge from Blood Meridian and Captain Ahab are both right up there as the larger than life, imposing villain. I always liked/hated Fernand from the Count of Monte Cristo as the vile little weasel type of villain. But I probably have to go with the classic here and give it to Iago from Othello. The conniving trickster is a great villain archetype.

Film: Coin flip for Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now or Tyler Durden from Fight Club.

Comics: Dr. Doom, Thanos and Loki. Probably going with Loki, again because I'm partial to tricksters.
