I really don't like the Bortus character, especially after that baby gender episode. But generally, the character never does anything, and this is no different.

I don't dislike the character. But I'm indifferent to the character which is kind of worse. I wish he had a more forceful personality one way or the other.

He's too...bland. He could be really interesting if they gave him an attitude or something.

For some reason, the entire cast felt awkward. Horrible chemistry. Horrible lines.

To me it's like they took the note from some network exec and made the show less crass.

I mean that's the whole point of the show...take a Star Trek type setting and do the dirty jokes they could never do on a Trek show. This episode seemed to be more like a Trek show than a parody of one.

And I found Mercer infuriatingly whiney this episode. Dude, stop pining about your ex already.

One thing I don't like about the show is the whole his first officer is his ex-wife stuff. Granted they really went into why it's such a bad idea in this episode but I still don't like it as a premise.

Nothing really happened in the episode. It's just a poorly thought out, wasteful episode.

It was a little dull and seemed a tad more family friendly than I was hoping for. I mean we barely got any dirty jokes in I thought.

I love Penny Johnson but I hate that they have cast her as a single mom (and from what I gather she didn't have an ex...she just went and got artificially inseminated twice). I don't like hearing about the plight of single moms in the real world (least favorite thing to listen to ever) and I definitely don't want to hear about their adventures in fiction. And I want to break up this whole her being buddy buddy thing with the robot. Now they're wasting the robot in single mother plots. Give both of these characters something else to do. The kid actors aren't horrible...but I'm sick of the single mom storylines. (not opposed to single moms...I just don't want to hear about their problems...suffer in silence I say)
