    Quote:
I mean, imagine if there only one white character on all television that was a recurring character. We'll call him Ralph. Even if you did see another white character on television or in a movie, it was the same stereotype. People are always calling you Ralph, mimicking his accent to make fun of you, always using the line from the show to mock you. Basically, for everyone who is not white, their only reference of what it means to be white is Ralph. Not to mention that Ralph isn't even played by a white actor. Would that bother you?

But it's also not the Simpsons creators fault/problem if that's the case.

They can control what Indian characters they put into their program (Apu, Manjula etc). They cannot control the fact that other shows do not use Indian characters.

You're blaming the Simpsons for the lack of Indian representation on television. That's not on them.

Recently there was a great show called Master of None which tackled the lack of Indian representation in movies and television. Then some weirdo
ruined Aziz Ansari's career with some hackneyed #MeToo account of willingly sleeping with him but not enjoying it so now she's a victim.

Apu might not be a big problem for you, but I think it might be a big problem for people of Southeast Asian heritage.

I'm from the south and I may not like Cletus the inbred redneck jokes. But at the end of the day I have to accept it's just a cartoon show.
