Subj: In retrospect it was Bronn that annoyed me the most

The series has changed a lot since season 5. Particularly in regard to plot armour which was an alien concept in GoT in the beginning. However, since season 7, everything feels very rushed. Like, it needs to end ASAP kind of rushed. S08 E04 is probably the worst episode in that regard.

The scene with Bronn was just retarded. Bronn threated Tyrion and Jaime into giving High Garden... as if it works like that. Bronn is supposed to be smarter than that. So is Tyrion. So is Cercei (She really trust Bronn to be her best chance at this considering the link he had with Tyrion and Jaime?!). Is this really GoT? Where is the dirty side of the show? Where is the you win or you die aspect of the show? Bronn clearly let them know that after all they went through, only money matters to him. Yet, he somehow expect them to treat him with honor once the crossbow is out of the way? The kind of thing he was asking for can't be obtained with a crossbow. Who wrote this?

As for Jaime and Brienne, I'm sad it turned out this way as it completely nullifies Jaime's redemption arc. However, it isn't necessarilly bad. It is actually very realtable that he would fall back to his life long addiction. Sad, but relatable and it isn't nonsensical.

The other thing that nobody seem to have talked about and I always found very ducious was the Golden company accepting a contract for Cercei. They are well known for only accepting to fight favorable odds. When they accepted the contract, they knew the odds were horrible against Cercei. Sure the odds have now changed, but they were horrible. Why did they changed politic all of a sudden? Where they paid THAT much? This felt like plot contrivance to me.

I hope Daenerys arc won't twist toward madness after all she went through, but that does look like this is where they are steering her.

On a side note, in the face of Cercei using KL as a shield, I'm very surpised nobody think the best strategy would be to send an assasin. Where could they find an assassin capable of such a task I wonder... I mean, if you can deal with the NK and take the appearance of anybody, Cercei Lanister should be a joke, right? Nope, lets have a false dilema regarding the fate of the city because emotions and spectacle...

The series used to be about emotions, yes, but never at the expense of the head. I miss the old episodes even if the latest ones are individually fun to watch. Speaking of which, yes, I agree with you that Cercei should realize what it means for her to have that secret out of the bag like that in front of Euron. She still needs Euron, but she can't ignore what just explode in her face either.

I get that Bronn is supposed to be frustrated.

However, his plan was retarded. Somehow he got past the guard. You know what, with celebrations and all the deaths and damage to Winterfell, maybe he could get access to the grounds.

Strolling through Winterfell, with guards all over the place and finding Tyrion and Jaime together, no.

If he killed one of them, the other would raise the alarm.

Bronn could have approached them in a more friendly manner. They probably would have welcomed him. Bronn's argument of 'twice x Riverrun, but Cersei probably won't survive' doesn't make sense. What is twice of nothing? Uh, nothing Bronn.

Instead, Tyrion made a promise of something he cannot deliver. What is he going to say, Bronn had a crossbow? More likely, Tyrion invites him to a ceremony of the great lords and then Bronn gets put in a room with Greyworm, Brienne, Arya, 20 unsullied, 20 northerners and he gets butt-smashed with the crossbow. Maybe Arya cuts his hand off and then lets him fight Jaime?

What if someone else threatens Tyrion, will he give them the Twins? The Dreadfort?

The thing is Jaime has a good relationship with both of them. There was no need to be a dick. Best case scenerio? He now goes into partnership, with 2 very powerful figures who have the ear of the Queen who think he's a dick.

No way Bronn gets Highgarden.

In fact, what a great reward to the Tyrells for joing forces with Dany. Now, whatever distant cousin may have inherited it, they now get kicked out for Bronn. WTF?
