    The series has effectively ended for me and right now I feel as thought they've managed to kill any future desire to watch it again as a whole...

    I will still finish the show, but I can no longer immerse myself in its universe, as it's been broken beyond repair and the showrunners are not even trying to hide that they've grown bored with the project and want to be done with it, tailoring every choice to their own personal taste along the way (and, by extension, the part of fandom they represent).

Can you be more specific about why "it's been broken beyond repair"? And doesn't every creator tailor their work to their own personal taste, whether they want to or not?

    Heck, since nothing matters anymore, why not go for broke? Why not crank up the spectacle to 11 and never look back? But they couldn't even do that right...

How does nothing matter? I bet the show's highest ratings are still to come with the finale, proof that it matters to lots and lots of people.
