Quote:It looks like next week he is basically on trial.
Yes, I hadn't seen the trailer for next week when I wrote my original message. Still, I think that trial lasts about 3 minutes. Or at least it should. They're facing the army of the dead and while he didn't bring an army and isn't the warrior he used to be, he is still an accomplished general. They would be dumb as rocks to leave him sitting in a cell or to execute him.
Quote:Which puts an odd spin on it, will Sansa, Jon or Danny chair the trial or will all 3 chair it (or a combination therof)?
Well, the audience knows that the kingslaying was a noble act. He saved thousands of lives by doing that. Sure, it's just his word but Bran can back him up and like I said Bran will forgive him instantly. As the three eyed raven he is beyond such pettiness as revenge, particularly when Jaimie's act is what set Bran on his true path.
Quote:I am finding it tricky to see how Jaime will get out of this one.
Quote:1) He actually did push Bran out the window. I find it difficult to find that anyone could sucessfully calm down Arya, Sansa and Jon regarding this.
The circumstances will get him off. Maybe I'm wrong, but Jon forgave Theon, whose crimes were far worse, so its not a stretch that he could forgive Jaimie.
Quote:2) He killed Dany's father and ended his reign, being the man who put Dany on the run and into slavery etc.
Again, saving thousands of innocents. Dany has admitted her father was a monster.
