And Will likely see it once or maybe even twice more in the theater.

Were it up to me, yes I would have changed a few things, but overall I found it fantastic. And (TEHO, needless to say) but I find all the complaints about Rey being "too perfect" or "too powerful" etc. etc.   downright silly.  And outright sexist.  Even if people might not realize they are being sexist.

Is it really fair to play the sexism card?

Rey used the force even though she was never trained in it. The scene where Kylo was trying to read her mind but couldn't was silly. She had a lightsaber duel with Kylo who had Jedi training.

Rey only started to use the Force when she pushed back against Kylo. She didn't know she was doing "The Jedi Mind Trick" on the guard. She took a chance. If she can get into Kylo's mind, maybe she can get into someone else's I imagine was her thought.

As for the lightsaber training, it worked for me. Rey established earlier she knew how to fight when she took out the two thugs trying to steal BB-8. In terms of melee combat, all we've seen from Kylo Ren was a room didn't stand a chance against his lightsaber. We have no knowledge of how much training he's had in lightsaber combat.

Also he was fueled by anger and was losing control. She started winning when she let the Force in to guide her actions.

Rey was kind of a Mary Sue. Rey isn't inferior because she's female. But none of her abilities are you know...earned. She just has them.

So are Yoda, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Luke all Mary Sue's as well? I like the idea of her having raw untested Force powers. (12.345.67.89)
