And someone else pointed out something I didn't notice but will definitely look for next time: in the fight scenes, Kylo has a pretty sweeping flowing style. But Rey evidently thrust and parried as if still holding her staff. Most interesting and logical bit of characterization.

I noticed that right away. It actually reminded me of the Emperor when fighting Mace Windu, he seemed to like a straight ahead thrusts while fighting.

The only thing that bothered me was how Rey knew to do things she wasn't taught, like getting the stormtrooper to release her. Did she hear stories as a kid about all the jedi's powers, so she decided to try it to see if it would work? That could have been made more clear.
