Problem 2: I honestly suspect that the bridges between paramount and shatner are burned to the ground.

He wasn't invited to that Star Trek Day they did recently, though everyone else was.

Wasn't invited or turned it down? \:\)

Similar to the wedding invitation that Takei sent him for his wedding, Shatner says he never got it, Takei insists it was sent.

Honestly, I believe Takei did send it, even though there is no love lost between them, it may have been an attempt to reach out and make some form of peace.

OR Takei sent it knowing Shatner would either refuse or claim to not get it.

Seriously though, my impression of Shatner based on meeting him briefly at a con many moons ago and everything I have read about him.....yeah bridges are burned with him and Paramount.

Also the term bridges are burned is perhaps the nicest way to put it. I suspect there is some serious rancor between them.
