We know Worf is the son of Mogh but we know almost nothing about him and know nothing about his wife Worf's mom, not even a name.

Worf was 5 when he moved to Khitomer and 7 when he was adopted. You would think that he would remember something about his parents.

He remembered his pet Targ, but never thought about his parents.

Worf is one of those characters who talks a LOT about his father. Now his mother may be a more personal memory. Remember Klingons are all about martial and honour values. What Worf will discuss in public is unlikely to be about the hugs his mother used to give or any advice.

Ironically I think you single out Worf for this precisely because he talks about his parents a lot more than any other character.

Picard?
Nothing.

Crusher?
Nothing.

Troi?
Stuck with her mother all the time.

Data?
Talks about dad all the time.

Geordi?
Not much at all.

Riker?
We met his dad and this was focus of one very poor episode.

With Worf we get to know his adoptive parents in one episode. We have a whole storyline about the House of Mogh and Worf being angry at the Romulan defector to boot.

I think we hear plenty.
Compare it to:
Michael Knight
Magnum PI
Stringfellow Hawke
Captain Janeway

etc etc.
