And based on the reviews I've read, the information I've looked up, the screenshots I've seen, I'm all too happy to be passing this crapfest by.

    1. Michael as the name of the main protagonist? Why not Michelle instead? Dumb.

Since 1880, about 20,000 women have been named Michael in the US (according to the census-- maybe they were self-identifying as women? nah), actors Michael Learned (TV's Mama Walton) and Michael Michele being two of them.

There is the very unrelated Hebrew feminine name, Michal, which should be pronounced me-KAHL, but many English speakers pronounce is like Michael.

The Klingon thing bugged me, too, and this is set way too close to TOS time.

Better yet, everybody needs to stop prequels for anything, forever.

    3. In a review, I read the main star knocks out the Captain over a disagreement. But let me guess, by the next episode she gets a slap on the wrist. Talk about unrealistic because she should get COURT MARTIALED for that. Or maybe I'm missing the context because I didn't bother watching the first two episodes? Who cares, from what I read, the main star of the show is nothing more than a douchebag. No wonder Spock never mentioned he had a "sister".

Captain was endangering everybody anyway. Should have done more to remove her from command than physical attack.

I enjoyed most of it.
