Yeah, when I ran Voyager at the tv station they tried to abbreviate it STV but the fans just used VOY. The fans will decide, no matter how much Paramount protests. ENT was ENT because there was no Star Trek in the title. STD, it's just an abbreviation already stuck in the collective unconscious. Might as well embrace it. Maybe they can do a Voyager/Discovery crossover called Star Trek VD. If you're experiencing Star Trek VD, be sure to tell your partner.
