Quote: After exercising downstairs and watching DS9 on Netflix, I came up a couple of times and Voyager was on BBC america...So I learned that lesson the hard way. Quote: The behind the scenes writers arguing about the Captain's personalty (and using scripts to put the arguments on screen) helped a bunch I'm sure.Quote: That's the thing with DS9, its not an attempt to rehash the original series, but with more hitting you over the head with moral lessons, beige furniture and ugly pajamas.Quote: The stationary setting forces different kinds of stories set in that universe, and since its stationary, organic growth of characters and their relationships are a natural outcome.Quote: Most importantly, they're not afraid to be silly, or go to dark places, and have them next to each other...cause that's life.Quote: Jeffwww.dogfoodforchairs.com One of my favorite episodes in DS9 was In The Pale Moonlight. I don't think one of the other Trek shows could have had one of the other captains make the choices Sisko did in that episode. Sisko didn't get to be the hero or philosopher...he was too busy with a real war on his hands. ![]() | |||||||
