I had not heard of this, is this a movie? Or the video game or what?

The next intended Evil Dead movie. Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are producing it, at least, and it's being directed by someone else they chose. Forget name. Bruce retired as Ash after the end of the show, so there's going to be a new protagonist for the movie.

Yeah, they were originally planning for that to be the case after the remake.

I think he retired from live action playing Ash, I thought he would still do a video game.

I was a bit sad with Ash vs Evil Dead. I enjoyed it but it was not a great ending, it was open ended and you could tell it was supposed to go at least another year.

Yes, but I think ratings were real low. There was going to be a season 4 but Starz cancelled it. However, either later this year or next "Ash Vs. Evil Dead: The Game" will come out (PC and/or consoles), which continues after the show as a kind of "season 4".

It is sort of a niche thing. I am not sure what the reason was. Ratings make sense to me. I watchedi t and bought the Blu Rays.

Which was surprising, given how many seemingly filler episodes were in the show and its short run time. I love Campbell and enjoyed the series but a bit of a mess in the end.

I agree, especially with all the time travel nonsense that didn't change things as much as you'd think it would have; mostly just Ash getting his right hand back (for a short time, though).

Yeah. I mean the gags were funny and learning more about Ash was fun, but they had some good side stories for the characters but did not follow them consistently.
