Good movie. I saw it was on Netflix and since the old lady is out of town tonight I thought I'd turnout the lights and enjoy a good horror flick.
Then I remembered what bugged me about this movie the first time. The Annabelle opening scene doesn't jibe with what follows. They say ghosts don't have such power and it must be a demonic force, "something that never walked the earth." Then, when we get to the main plot, it's a witch who used to be alive as a woman walking the earth who does the possessing.
Plot hole or am I missing something?
Use the definitions loosely. It would seem clear as to what a demon vs a ghost is but it is not at all in these movies or any movie really.
I loved the Conjuring. It does borrow from a number of other films but is the best such haunting movie that I have seen in some time.
