Has anyone here seen it?

It's awful. Possibly one of the worst superhero movies ever made. In some the weaker films, there might be a couple scenes that impress. I didn't like Justice League, but liked the fight Superman had with the other heroes. I didn't like Black Panther, but liked the single combat duel between the two cousins. Nothing in Captain Marvel. This movie has nothing to offer, except for the touching tribute to Stan Lee at the beginning. Brie Larson has no charisma, and the characterization for Carol is completely one dimensional. Nick Fury is reduced to comic relief, and stale comic relief at that. Annette Benning is shoehorned into the role of BOTH the Supereme Intelligence and Mar-vell, because apparently, in a feminist movie, we can't have the female hero being mentored by a white male. The movie's writing and directing are amateurish, and why not? Anna Boden has very little experience, and absolutely none at writing and directing a big budget action movie. But wait, big budget? I don't know what they spent their money one, because the super heroics was kept down to a bargain-basement minimum. Carol does virtually nothing worth seeing. For all her great power, she faces minimal threats. Common soldiers who wouldn't last a second against her. The movie's big finish? Over in five minutes, with one villain defeated with a single blast, and the other fleeing without fighting at all. And the Skrulls are pathetic. No where near as menacing as they are in the comics. How could they be? In the movie they're nothing more than cosmic refugees fleeing the Kree. And they're the good guys. No decent dialogue, no decent action, a pathetic soundtrack, and a truly insulting explanation for how Nick Fury lost his eye. If you haven't seen this movie, don't waste your money. You don't need to see it in advance of Endgame, and you sure won't get your money's worth.
