Previous Post I've always liked the 80's Blob remake more than the original. Which makes it especially funny that I've been living in and around Phoenixville, PA where the original was partially filmed and where there is the annual Blobfest for the original. PPP

IMO, the only thing that detracts from the 1988 Blob film is that it was a remake. Otherwise, it's every bit as good as the original, with better effects. The original, because it was an original, just gets more praise. It's really not that great of a film (not that it's bad).
