Previous Post Before he dropped it into his leaving speech, Was there ever any concrete statement concerning Chris Chibnall only doing three series on Doctor Who? There are certainly comments I have on file of his having a five year tenure when he was announced back in 2017, but given neither Russell Davies or steven Moffatt ever had a set defined leaving date in mind when they began the series as Producers I take the view that Chibnall too never had a fixed pre-set date in mind either, no matter what he says in his rather too convenient 'pact' with Jodie Whittaker. Has anyone anything on this subject?

I mean it is hard to say for sure as we are not privy to all of the behind the scenes or contracts and agreements.

I tend to doubt it though. It seems like most folks are either shown the door when things go downhill or decide that they want to go out on a high note and told their stories.

I think about everybody would rather go out on the later, but more probably go out on the former.

I honestly do not believe much of what the guy says to be honest with you. He has not been too honest about other things as far as I can tell.
