Out of interest AC - I have read that The Antiques Roadshow over on BBC2 was a repeat? And still scored higher than Doctor Who (I've read either figures of 2.3 or 2.4)?

If you have knowledge of the ratings for the news over on ITV, or indeed for Countryfile at 8pm, I would be very interested! It appears that we are seeing the same effect that happened with series 12, with the BBC audience stepping aside when Doctor Who comes on and only coming back once it has ended.... \(wilt\)

Antiques Roadshow = 2.26 (And yes...A repeat).

Britain's Got Talent = 5.2

That's all I've got for the moment.

The most eye opening fact I've found though is: When BGT started, 20 minutes into Doctor Who, there was almost no drop off in viewers. Indeed, the figures hovered around 2.2 throughout the episode.

So is 2.2 million the baseline figure for Doctor Who? The number of die-hard fans who will tune in no matter what's on the other channels?

I genuinely can't wait to see the figures for Jodie's finale. Even with such a major episode I wouldn't like to predict whether the ratings will get a boost, or actually drop further.
