What do you think? Sean Pertwee looks so much like his father, yet he states he doesn't want the role. I respect his choice, even if I think it is an error.

Should they check the families of other past Doctors for any actors among them that may want the part? Sort of a family continuation as it were?

Patrick Troughton has at least 2 sons and I think 6 grandsons

Tom Baker has sons

Sylvester Mccoy has two sons

Surely somewhere in those family trees is the next Doctor?

I mean it depends on what the goal is. To show up in future episodes? I do not think the actor they have had be the First Doctor looks bad but the writing for him has been out of character from my understanding and that makes little sense.

For me I would not want the current show runner doing anything with past Doctor's.

The resemblance thing is important but it is also important to remember that they are not their family member. So, they could look similar but get them on the screen and they are likely pale imitations of their relative. That would be the bigger worry outside of a random cameo.

The curator was fun, but even then it sounded like Baker did not have a great time. Sounded like Matt Smith was the only one that was particularly kind to him there or did not ignore him.

Look Raist bunnies...
