I think it gets some from BBC America and others, but it is not as popular in the US as it was either. It probably helps the cause but generally alot of people (this is based on my observations and seeing numbers decline) just lost interest.

And it was not only because the current run. Toward the end of 11 interest started to fade, Capaldi really did not engage the audience like 10th or 11th and the story quality has been on decline for a while anyway.

All sets up for a perfectly bad situation made worse by a needless culture sort of battle that split a fan base that could not afford to be split.

Not saying it will or will not be canceled but last I saw was not looking good anywhere.
