This is one of those things... if I had bought this book and witnessed a fairly typical example of a Titan Comics runaround for the Tenth Doctor, with not a lot suggesting how it relates to whatever Timelord Victorious actually is, and then on that page, three-quarters of the way through the 13th Doctor drops in, for no reason whatsoever, then I would be angry at this book. And Timelord Victorious.

This written by Jodi Houser, who also writes the 13th Doctor book for Titan. So I am quite certain that the insertion of this 13th Doctor into this Timelord Victorious chapter is a sales ploy, to attract attention to Houser's 13th Doctor book. But since this 13th Doctor was never advertised as having anything to do with this Timelord Victorious her appearance here is not just out of place and distracting, it is patently a waste of page-space and false advertising.

-------

On a related subject though it is also highlighting the emerging reality that the BBC's commercial arm, and its licencees, now believe that any new 13th Doctor Multi-media venture has to have her chaperoned by the 10th Doctor.... the new game announced, 'Escape Velocity, is another example of this pairing. And if you ever wanted proof that the 13th Doctor is considered commercial Kryptonite then here it is. They now have to pair her with the most commercially successful Doctor of the modern-age in order to get product out there with her in it, and have it perhaps sell.
