Chibnall and the BBC have sacrificed great storytelling for political correctness and moralizing. If there's to be any Doctor Who with a strong turnaround in ratings, the solution is to look to the past to see what made the most memorable stories stand the test of time. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that will happen.
I only wish they would consider doing a series or two featuring Paul McGann's Doctor for the fans that would like to see a bridge between the classic era and the reboot. However, I think the BBC would manage to mess that up as well.

I would rather see them stop tv shows, and move the Dr to movies!
