Could still be alive, and maybe he as in an updated actor playing that role, meet the "real Dr?"

It would be pointless. The two films exist in their own particular world, their own particular time and place. Peter Cushing brought the character to life, and yes you could recast with a replacement actor, but it is all a little pointless.

There are rumours, reports, that originally there was going to be a third film in the series, possibly another Dalek story and based on 1965's The Chase, and that's about as ambitious as this film 'Dr Who' was. Logically you have to believe he would have been having other adventures, exploring human history, landing on random planets, but in the end this was and is a childrens character. If 'Dr Who' were to land in the year 2020 I would have a hard time imagining it to be our 2020, his 2020 would be silver suits, bases on the moon, transmats, and everyone living happy and in flying cars more than likely... regardless of the problems though I do love the character. It's largely down to Peter Cushing's performance and the sheer escapism of him and Tardis, but I am happy to accept him as being his own Doctor and every bit as valid and effective as the television Timelord. \(yes\)
