Never met an ethical atheist? Do you know any? I know more unethical Christians and thirsts than atheists or agnostics.
Just seems like a blanket statement that assumes morality is from God or must be.
Lots of them, including my online interactions. I'm not arguing that morality comes from God but that in general: believing that a supernatural entity will hold you to account creates a fear and anxiety that atheists don't have. This doesn't automatically make religious people more moral, just that there's a part of their belief system that consciously or subconsciously adds a mental restriction that atheists don't have. Religious people sometimes ignore this fear and anxiety, but deep down, they are still bothered that they offended a supernatural being that will remember and make them accountable.
