    Quote:
Asking for a raise is done all the time. The women are not asking for the same pay pay as the NBA just for better pay and considerations. The NBA divides the players into 49% of league revenues while the WNBA gets around 20%. The WNBA has a contract with ESPN that pays them 25 million dollars a year. That money used on salaries would be a very good addition to yearly pay. Some things are about more than money and the WNBA and the college game give them a chance at reaching their potential. I do not know if the WNBA will survive in the long run but it will be a shame if they go under.

I was talking about women's soccer and they make their request based on the league being "sexist" against them when they already get a bigger percentage then their male counterparts do.

And sure ask all you like for more money...but its shameful of the female soccer team to use sexism as a slogan for them to get paid more.
