Is this just the cost of healthcare? Or are their other costs as well.

$18.5B is not enough to be one of the biggest talking points I agree.

However having indirect dealings with Hospitals...I am not sure of some of these numbers. See Hospitals have been turned into a free get drugs dispensary. Talking to the nurses a large percentage of people they are forced to take care of are faking illnesses or in drug withdrawals...and they show up to get their "free" highs. This includes legal and illegal citizens. Add in the cost for these pharmaceutical drugs that most know are waaaaayyyy to expensive (evil corporations). I am just not sure all factors are considered here.

How do the nurses identify illegals?

In any case, the most representative image of an illegal immigrant is that of someone who comes here looking for work. Not drugs and not free health care. I know people freak out at the very thought of an illegal getting helped in the Emergency Room for free, but the most representative image of an illegal in an Emergency Room is that of someone who very much does not want to be there.

What completely blows my mind though the attitude that its no big deal that we are projected to get a million illegal immigrants this year(I think that's number quoted by Butgig(sp?) on Bill Maher's' show). How is this NOT a problem? Maybe not THE big problem facing us today (that's probably Trump) but where is this tolerance for illegal activity coming from?

I don't know if a million is the right number but let's say it is. These million illegals walk across the desert in dead of night and then they look for jobs picking crops, mowing grass, washing dishes, or cleaning toilets. Who in America has this affected adversely? Me? You?

Do we need to demonize them? No. But do we need to advocate for their illegal activity in getting here? No as well.

Advocate, no. But get super worked up over it? No. Let ICE hunt the illegals as they always have. Let ICE catch the ones they catch and fail to catch the ones they fail to catch. Let the businesses that rely on illegals continue to survive.

Before any of this became a big political issue, was any of this affecting me? Or you?
