Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer yesterday. His illness explains why Marvel was taking so long to do a Black Panther sequel. Chadwick had been diagnosed even before the first Black Panther movie came out. He was a very good actor. Not many people could do James Brown and T'Challa justice. LONG LIVE THE BLACK PANTHER! https://www.cbr.com/russo-brothers-chadwick-boseman-inspired-a-generation/ IN all seriousness though since the Black Panther is a family title to be passed on and earned by the new one, I'd say make Shiri the new one. A recast I think would be a slap in the face to the memory of Chadwick and to his family.
