I thought MCU was doing something with Spidey, ...a character arc, going somewhere, ...and hoping for a 3rd movie, Beginning, Middle and End. With the deal gone (Hopefully in the following year, something will happen), ...

I can only think of one Precedent, Superman Returns. Remember that movie? Big, Epic, ...and very forgettable and dull. 'Everyone loved that 78 movie', so they made that 78 movie, with 2003 tech, thinking and colors, ...with Routh and Spacek channeling Reeves and Hackman. What can go WRONG? How can this be bad? This is what the PUBLIC wants.

So, Sony's Spidey MCU-like Returns, ...with 'Everyone loved those Home movies', Sony will make 'what they think MCU would do to Spidey3', with Holland and badguy channeling MCU Parker and MCU badguy, ...

I guess we're back to THIRD MOVIE SUCKS curse, Jedi, Last Crusade, Sup****an 3, Alien 3, the 3 90s Batman movies, the 3 SW prequels, Dieh**d 3, Lethal We***on 3, ...

Last Crusade did not suck at all. Alien 3 was not horrible, but suffered from following a bigger movie. I am not sure of a movie offhand that does well following up a sequel that expands the mythos to contracting things.

The SM sucks though. Great hook at the end of Far from Home and good build. Sort of for nothing at this point. I am also hoping that everybody comes to their senses and they make a movie to close things out.

It is Sony's big box office property. So it was always going to be hard for Marvel, with the success. Things being split 95%/5% makes it a bad situation for Marvel. Sony is not going to want to come down from that number.

I heard there were other reasons, but I do not remember them exactly. Like a producer credit and whatever. I do not think Sony is going to be able to pull anything off on their own though.

They really took it for granted that the deal would be renewed and thus propped up Peter as the replacement for Tony.

Peter can figure out Stark Tech given time and could even perhaps one day suit up as iron man.

He could have kept the Stark heritage safe until Morgan grew up and claimed the legacy.

Now if this deal doesn't get restored, who can take over as the super genius of the MCU? We have Black Panther with the wealth and the super tech to rival Stark, we have Banner-Hulk also.

Banner-hulk in the MCU is the one that developed the prototype time travel system. It did work in that Scott was able to travel but it was Stark that provided the debugging and precision control. Banner could have done that as well given time. Banner-Hulk is also the one that snapped half the universe back to life. Hulks is the unsung hero of Endgame and frankly he should let the world know. He could then be able to run his own lab and show everyone the intelligence of Bruce Banner and how it can benefit the world.

I bet the guy at Marvel that did the licensing is kicking themselves. Although I think it is not a win win for Sony either.

Spider-man became popular again because of his involvement in the MCU. Splitting him out and keeping the same actors is not really a long term strategy. They have to pull him from Iron Man and Marvel properties.

I am not sure audiences will dig that.

That said, there is little reason for Sony to compromise from a financial point of view. Disney wanted more, but Sony is not going to want to take less. And it is one of their few properties that makes money at the box office.

So, what will happen is anybodies guess at the moment. I just know that keeping or losing Tom Holland and the other cast has problems with it.

I am less concerned about who the next big brain in Marvel is going to be. Stark had that, but his charisma was the main things. He was likable. Banner, Rocket, BP (or more likely his sister), Dr. Strange and so on are all smart in their own ways.

Nobody should directly replace IM. For that matter, I do not think he was ever shown to be near Stark in terms of intelligence. The movies never showed that. He could figure some of it out but it was not easy for him. Granted, high schooler.

Can the MCU use Norman Osborn?

I read that MCU is doing something with Dr.Doom, ...and the only villain that can go face-to-face with Doom, is Norman Osborn, ...and he's an American. I think of him as a SUPER-super-villain, up there with Loki, Magneto and Red Skull (Kingpin is just too street-level type of villain).

It could be like Wanda and Pietro, ...Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the MCU during the Fox run of the X properties. Use Osborn but not Green Goblin.

Its up to the fans now. Vote with your wallets.

Dont pay to watch any Spider-Man films if he's not in the MCU. And stop buying Spider-Man merchandise including the comic books.

Money is all big companies like Disney and Sony understand, the only weak spot they have is their balance sheets, so that's where to hit them!

With time and training I suspect Peter could learn the iron Man tech

Also, Far from home makes me wonder what other security protocols tony has in place in case of his demise?

If anyone ever steals and learns to replicate the iron Man tech, especially the mini arc reactor then an armor wars shall occur.

I recently read that Sony is ready to deal again if MCU involve Venom, ...could help boost the box office take for Venom 2 (I thought with actor Woody Harrelson involved in it would bring interest in that project).

Like that Marvel offer to Fox decades ago, they'll give them Daredevil and help them make good Xmen movies for the use of Galactus and Silver Surfer, ...Marvel/Disney can give Sony Miles Morale's Spider man and Prowler, ...and let the MCU make a 3rd Spidey movie and the use of Norman Osborn.

Maybe the deal with Sony sounds bad, but this allowed Marvel to do movies like Antman, Guardians of the Galaxy, ...and upcoming Shang-Chi, Eternals movies. I don't think they wouldn't tried a Guardian movie if they were busy with X and Spidey movies.
